Instructions for filling in Schedule A

Before you start, your music must be registered with a Performing Rights Organization:
We can only represent music that is registered with a Performing Rights Organization (PRO).  If you’re not currently affiliated with a PRO, then stop what you’re doing now and register yourself as a writer and publish your music.  If you are based in the USA, you have just 3 choices: ASCAP, BMI, or SESAC.  If you are outside the US, click here to find your local PRO.

Now that your music is registered, you’re ready to fill out the Schedule A:
Please fill in the Schedule A with the information for all the songs you would like for us to represent. Once received, we will send you a representation agreement for you to sign.  If your Schedule A is missing information or filled in incorrectly, it will get bounced back so be sure you don’t leave any fields blank.  The information you enter must match with your PRO registration.

Composition: This is the title/s of the song/s we will be representing exactly as they show in your PRO account. Be sure that spelling and formatting matches exactly otherwise you run the risk of not receiving your performance royalties in the event that we land a placement.  If you are submitting more songs than there are rows on the table, feel free to add more (click on the bottom right cell and hit tab on your keyboard to add rows)

Writer/s: Please list every credited writer. Again, be sure that each writers name matches with you PRO registration. Once your agreement is drafted, each credited writer will have a signature line and will be required to sign off before we represent your music. If any writer is unwilling or unable to sign, please do not submit those songs.

Writer/s PRO affiliation: The abbreviation of the performing rights organization to which each writer is affiliated.  E.g. ASCAP, BMI, PRS, APRA

Writer/s IPI number: Regardless of which PRO you are aligned with, every registered song writer and publisher registered is automatically assigned an IPI number by the PRO on registration.  It stands for Interested Parties Information, and is sometimes referred to as a CAE number (Composer, Author, Publisher) number. You can find this by logging in to your PRO account, or searching for your music on the PRO repertory (link to ASCAP repertory, link to BMI repertoire).

Writer/s Percentage share: Please list the percentage share for each credited writer.  Total combined must equal 100%, and must match with how your music is registered with the PRO.

Publisher/s: Please list each credited publisher and co-publisher.  It must match with how your music is registered with the PRO. If your music is self-published, please list your own name as it appears on your PRO account as publisher name. Once your agreement is drafted, each credited publisher will have a signature line and will be required to sign off before we will pitch your music. If any credited publisher is unwilling or unable to sign, please do not submit those songs.

Publisher/s PRO affiliation: The abbreviation of the performing rights organization to which each publisher is affiliated.  E.g. ASCAP, BMI, PRS, APRA

Publisher/s Percentage share: Please list the percentage share for each credited publisher.  Total combined must equal 100%, and must match with how your music is registered with the PRO.

ISWC: International Standard Musical Work Code is a unique identifier for musical works, similar to ISBN for books.  This is assigned when you register a work with your PRO.  You can find this by logging in to your PRO account, or searching for your music on the PRO repertory (link to ASCAP repertory, link to BMI repertoire). The PROs often take a little while to generate an ISWC after you register your work, but they do provide another code automatically on registration (e.g. BMI work code, or ASCAP work code).  If you are waiting for your ISWC to be issued, please provide the PRO work code instead.

Content Provider: This is the point person.  Sometimes that’s the band manager, sometimes a responsible band member, or publisher.  This person should be able to quickly and easily reach each credited writer / publisher to obtain signatures and/or relay information.

Payment Details: In the event that we land a placement of your music, this will be the address to which your portion of the upfront synch fee will be sent.  We will cut one check per placement for the content provider, regardless of writer splits.  It should be understood that it will be the sole responsibility of the content provider to distribute our payment to the interested parties.
